Separate any song into seven stems.

Drag & drop a song, or click to browse

.wav · .mp3 · .flac · max 80 MB

How it works

  1. 1 Drop an .mp3, .wav or .flac file
  2. 2 A GPU separates the audio in the background
  3. 3 Play the seven stems: solo, mute, per-stem faders

What you get

  • Seven stems: vocals, instrumental, drums, bass, guitar, piano, other
  • BPM & key detection, beat grid over the waveforms
  • In-browser mixer — solo, mute and a fader per stem
  • Downloadable stems, 320 kbps MP3

FAQ

›What happens to my song?

It is split into seven separate audio files: the voice, the drums, the bass, the guitar, the piano, everything else the model can hear, and the instrumental — the song without the voice. These are real files, not filters over the original: play them together, solo one, set a level per stem, and download each one.

›How do I separate a song into stems?
  1. Drop the song into the upload box, or pick it from disk.
  2. Press Zeparate — there is nothing to choose. All seven stems come out of one pass, so asking for fewer would not make it faster.
  3. Wait for the job: the card follows it through queued → processing → completed.
  4. Play the mix, solo or mute any stem, set a fader per stem, download what you need.
›Which files can I upload?

Audio only: .mp3, .wav or .flac, up to 80 MB — a whole song fits comfortably inside that. Video files are not supported.

›What exactly comes back?

Seven stems — vocals, instrumental, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other — as 320 kbps MP3, plus an estimate of the song’s tempo and key, a beat grid drawn over the waveforms, and a mixer in this page. Every stem has its own download link on the player.

›Can I just remove the vocals and keep the music?

That is the instrumental stem, and it is one of the seven. Mute the vocals strip to hear it, or download it as a karaoke version of the song.

›Can I get drums, bass, piano or backing vocals separately?

Drums, bass, guitar, piano and everything else — yes, all of them, every time. Backing vocals are the honest exception: the model hears one voice, so harmonies and doubled vocals usually come out inside the vocals stem rather than as their own.

›Why does a stem sound a little watery?

Separation is an educated guess about where each part of the mix lives, and a dense mix makes that guess harder. Some bleed is normal — a trace of the song in the vocals, a cymbal in the guitar, the tail of a reverb that belongs to two stems at once. Splitting a song seven ways shows it more often than splitting it two. It helps to:

  • upload the best copy you have — a WAV or FLAC beats a low-bitrate MP3;
  • upload the whole song instead of a short, heavily compressed excerpt;
  • expect the hardest results from heavy reverb, doubled harmonies and crushed masters.
›How long does a song take?

Longer songs take longer, and a job waits its turn when the GPU is already busy. The badge at the top says whether a GPU is online; if none is, your song stays in the queue until one comes back. Closing the tab does not cancel the job — it keeps running on the server.

›Is my song private, and for how long?

Only you can see what you upload: songs belong to your browser's anonymous id, and nobody else can open them. The original file is deleted as soon as the separation is done, and everything else — stems included — is removed 2 days after the separation finished. Download what you want to keep.
